of the Shrew comes to the Woman’s Club
of El Paso
Shakespeare on the Rocks is celebrating its 25th anniversary
with its 2013-2014 play season and is proud to showcase “The Taming of the
Shrew” by William Shakespeare. This play is a comedy and adapted
to the Wild West town of old El Paso in the late 1800s and is directed
by Elizabeth L. Dahl. The play will be performed at the Woman’s
Club of El Paso, located at 1400 North Mesa Street, on Friday, May 30,
2014 and Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 7:00 p.m., and on Sunday, June 1,
2014 at 2:00 p.m. American Sign Language interpretation will be provided
at the Sunday, June 1st performance.
Shakespeare on the Rocks, (SotR), is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit
organization and is partnering with Theatre, Inc. Since SotR’s inception, it
has been resolute in its commitment to providing quality live classical
theatre and educational outreach to the Paso Del Norte region community
and its people. This production is a testimony to SotR’s commitment
in exemplifying El Paso’s multiculturalism and embracing of all
peoples as a borderland community.
Tickets: At the door,
$10.00 general admission for all tickets; $8.00 for students (full-time
with ID) and military
(active or retired with military ID); $6.00 for Seniors (65 years+, with
ID); $6.00 each for groups of ten or more and for more group-rate

Free parking will be available across the street on the corner of North
Mesa Street and River Avenue.
Limited 25th Anniversary Shakespeare on the Rocks T-shirts will be for
sale at the performances.
